Plan Your Visit

We can’t wait to meet you!

Whether you’re a lifelong churchgoer or just starting to explore faith, you’ll find a warm, come-as-you-are community at First United Methodist Church of Orange.

We believe God’s love is for everyone — no exceptions. That means you’ll find a safe and affirming space here, especially for our LGBTQ+ siblings and anyone who has ever wondered if there’s a place for them in church. There is.

When & Where

  • Sunday Worship: 10:30 a.m.

  • Location: 161 S. Orange St., Orange, CA 92866

  • Parking: Free parking is available all around the church both in city lots and on the street.

The church has 3 parking lots that can be used (owned by the City of Orange) that are adjacent to the church building.  2 of the lots can be found off of Orange Street (between Almond and Chapman), and the 3rd lot can be found off off Grand Street (between Almond and Chapman).  You can also park on Orange Street or Grand Avenue for 3 hour increments.

What’s the service like?

Our worship blends the richness of tradition (beautiful liturgy, hymns, choir) with a welcoming and fresh spirit. You’ll hear Scripture, prayers, and a message that connects God’s story to everyday life.

Coming with little ones?

Kids aren’t just welcome here — they’re celebrated!

  • Wiggly kids are welcome! We know little ones don’t always sit still — and that’s okay. All ages of kids from 0-99 are welcome in worship.

  • Kids Worship Bulletins: We have special worship bulletins available for kids that have fun activities to work on during worship. You can pick these up in the narthex when you first arrive. Our ushers are happy to help you find them.

  • Childcare is available: A safe, loving space for kids (0-5th grade) is available throughout the service across the patio from the sanctuary doors in our kids room.

  • Acolytes: Kids can train to be an acolyte who gets to be part of the team that makes worship happen.

What should I wear?

You’ll see everything from jeans and T-shirts to “Sunday best.” Come as you are.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

Not at all. You’ll be warmly greeted, but you won’t be asked to stand or introduce yourself. You can engage at your own pace.

Got questions?

No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or who you love — you are welcome here.
