Acolytes participate in the worship service to assist the pastor. Serving as an Acolyte is one of the most important services a youth can render the worship life of the Church. The Acolyte program is open to anyone from 5th grade (beginning in the Fall of 2016) to high school. If you're interested in learning more about this ministry or being a part of our next training session, please contact Sarah Fast or Katie Hicks at [email protected].

The Alter Guild is responsible for the Altar and surrounding church items. They make sure that the cross is lit, and that the candles can easily be lit by the Acolytes. They also ensure that the flowers are in place each week for worship and that the sanctuary is appropriately decorated to reflect the current liturgical season. They also help prepare Communion. This ministry is led by Debbie George and Matthew Nelson.

Liturgists stand in front of the church each week and lead responsive readings, prayers, and lessons from Scripture, and they are always looking for more people to join their ranks. Please see our Liturgist Coordinator, Wayne Nash, to find out how you can get started.

Ushers are some of the first people that visitors see when they walk through the door, so they need to be friendly and welcoming to everyone. They make sure that everyone gets a bulletin, help assist people to their seats when needed, and have a number of other responsibilities throughout each worship service. For more information, please see Buzz Reynolds.

This is a group of church members that meets weekly to discuss worship and try to determine how we can make it even better. These meetings take place every Monday at 5:30pm in the Fireside Room, and they're open to anybody attending worship.
